Leading our organization is Frances Van Mak, an industrial designer & trend forecaster with 25 years of experience. A former refugee and Parsons School of Design student turned industrial designer and creative powerhouse, her work has graced the international stage — from NY Fashion Week to the Met Gala and the White House for Michelle Obama.

With over 20 years of experience as an educator and performer, Equiano's journey began as a disconnected youth until the arts transformed his life. A graduate of TSU, he furthered his education by earning an MFA from Brandeis University, specializing in education and communication.
His passion for storytelling has taken him across the globe, where he has taught creative expression to refugees in six countries and three continents, impacting hundreds of thousands of individuals. Known for his transcendent style of writing and storytelling, Equiano's work has been featured across various platforms, from FOX Sports to HP. His mantra?
"I'm about telling the stories that bring people together."
